About me, Barb Carver - It all started as a hobby. Now, forty-five years later and still quilting. Where does the time go? I search high and low for fabrics. From colors to patterns. You know – it’s gotta be “just right”. Weekend jaunts to multi-week vacations. From Michigan to Florida and Iowa to New England. Lots of miles, lots of money, gallons of gasoline but loads of fun. But the very best, is the people I’ve met along the way. Retired. I turned a passion into a lifelong pursuit. I find joy in creating quilts for loved ones, including my four grown children and one grandson along with donating quilts to our armed services and veterans groups. With over 100 quilts made, commitment, craftsmanship and creativity are what I strive for. In my free time, I like antiquing along with visiting quilt shops along the way as well as spending time with my husband and traveling partner of 52 years and our two golden retrievers.
