Blueberry is a handcrafted quilt made in the timeless style of early American. Measuring 63" x 74", it's ideal for use as a bed quilt and adds a warm, authentic touch to any room. The design features reproduction fabrics reminiscent of the civil war era, carefully chosen for their vintage character.

Pieced by myself and long-arm quilted. This pattern by Heartspun Quilts is similar to those with roots in Early American quilting traditions. The quilt is layered with Warm and Natural cotton batting, then machine-quilted with precision to bring texture and depth to each block.

Finished with a hand stitched binding and made in a smoke-free, pet friendly environment, this quilt is both decorative and practical. It's machine washable on "gentle" and made to be loved for generations.

All fabric is cotton and quilt shop quality. Thimbleberry, Moda, Marcus, Jo Morton etc. Civil war / reproductions. Hand cut fabrics, machine pieced/assembled and long-arm quilted.

River Log Cabin reflects the enduring beauty of early colonial craftsmanship. Inspired by 19th-century quilt making, it features reproduction fabrics true to the Civil War and colonial period - muted prints, subtle plaids and historically accurate palettes. Sized at 63" x 80", it works beautifully as a bed covering, wall hanging, lap quilt, sofa throw etc.

The quilt was sewn by me, using the River Log Cabin pattern by Missouri Star that echoes the simplicity and balance of early American home life. The quilt includes Warm and Natural cotton batting and is machine-quilted in the pattern called whispers that compliments its traditional lines.

All of my quilts are made with care in a smoke-free, pet friendly environment. Whether you're a collector of early American decor or simply love the cozy charm of historic textiles, this piece is a warm reminder of craftsmanship that never goes out of style.

This quilt, titled Homeward Bound captures the cozy spirit of primitive country design. It measures 78" x 78", making it the perfect companion for a fireside chair, a rustic bedroom, or a heritage-style entryway. Featuring Civil War-era reproduction fabrics in warm, earthy tones—think faded reds, soft browns, and deep indigos—it offers a well-worn look and old-world charm.

The pattern, Homeward Bound by Evelyn Sloppy, was interpreted with personal touches by quilt maker, yours truly, Barb Carver. Hand cut pieces, assembled and machine sewn by me. Quilted by long arm machine, it showcases a traditional layout with a lived-in feel, finished with hand-stitched binding for that extra layer of craftsmanship.
